UPDATE 22 APRIL 2014

U 14s had a good win over Western Gaels in the Abbey Park on Friday last in the Division 2 League. They are scheduled to play Tulsk in Tulsk on Easter Monday and are scheduled to play St Domnics in the Abbey Park at 7pm on this Wednesday evening. The U16s will play Western Gaels in the final round of their Division 2 League on Sunday next at 12 noon. The Cooney Motors/ Cooneys Centra  Juniors will play St Barrys in the Division 4 League in the Abbey Park at 8pm on Friday next 25th April. They will be in action again on the following Friday 2nd May when they will travel to Cootehall to take on St Micheal's. The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors will have no fixture this week due to the ongoing success of our County Seniors and U21s. Their next outing is likely to be on Monday 5th May against St Croans. The Club Rossie campaign is entering its final stages. We would encourage all GAA supporters in Boyle to purchase a ticket, thus giving yourself a chance to win a prize fund of €40,000. There are three different levels of ticket prices, starting at €108 and there are a number of  goodies available to purchasers, including hats, and jackets, depending on the ticket price chosen. It should be noted that tickets may be by direct debit. Full details are available from the Club’s Club Rossie Ambassador Michael Junior Smith at 086 2531736, or any Club officer. Congratulations to the Roscommon U21 team and management on a wonderful semi final victory over Cork in Portlaoise on Saturday. Well done to Enda and Donie who were both on the scoresheet. All roads will lead to Tullamore on Saturday week 3rd May for the All Ireland U21 Final against Dublin at 3pm. Good luck to the Roscommon Seniors who will play Cavan in Croke Park on Saturday at 7pm in the Allianz National League Division 3 Final.
Well done to the U12 girls who beat Western Gaels 3-10 to 4-4. A great all round performance from the team. Next match is vs Shannon Gaels in the Abbey Park Wed 23rd @7pm. The u16 girls team lost out to St. Mary's in the quarter final of the division A championship. It was a hard fought game but Boyle struggled with injuries and the unavailability of players due to the game being played on Easter Sunday. They now play Kilbride in the B final, fixture to be confirmed. The ladies team game was cancelled due to St. Mary's inability to field a team. They have now topped the group and will play the league semi-final at a later date. They continue to prepare for their 1st championship game on the 10th of May.
