Update 20/10/14

The highlight of the weekend was the 5 point victory by Boyle’s National Automation Limited Minors over Michael Glaveys in the County Minor Championship Division 3 Final in Knockcroghery on Saturday. Congratulations to the entire panel and their management team of Donal Kelly, Kieran McKeon and Cathal Horan. Thanks also to the many supporters who went along to support the lads.
Congratulations also to the U12 Boys and their Management Team of Gerry Cregg, Odran Feely and Simon O’Donnell on their magnificent victory over Clan na Gael in the County Final on Sunday in a thrilling football game.
Well done also to the U14s on their victory over Eire Og in Loughglynn in the Garda Cup second round..
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors got a walkover from Kilmore in the final round of the Division 4 League. This brings their season to an end with a mid table finish in this competition. Thanks to all players who competed at junior level this year and to Liam Conroy and his management team for their commitment.
The National Automation Limited U21s will commence their Division 1 Championship campaign on Saturday next when they will travel to Castlerea to take on Michael Glaveys at 4pm.
The Club Lotto didn’t take place last weekend but it will go ahead on this Saturday night in the Railway Bar with Team C in charge. The jackpot will be €7,300.
There has been a great response to the sale of Club gear--very attractive and high quality tops, jackets etc. at good prices. They will be available for purchase in the Clubroom on this Tuesday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Work is progressing on preparations for the Club’s biggest social venture of the year-the “Who Wants to be a Thousandaire” event which will be held in St Joseph’s Hall, Boyle on Saturday night 6th December. This will be a major opportunity for businesses to advertise their products and the Club is currently contacting businesses re this matter. Members of the Club recently went to see the event when staged in Tuam and it was clearly evident that advertisers got great value for their adverts.
The Club extends its sympathy to the O’Donnell family, Church View on the death of Tommy.
Congratulations are extended to U21 Manager Jonathan Conroy and his wife on the birth of their baby boy and Brian Supple and his wife on the birth of their daughter . Congratulations also to Michael Brennan who was linesman/standby referee at Sunday’s County Minor Division 1 Final.
